Last week I had the privilege of attending the launch of fab new party and wedding planning blog, Love Luxe, at Goldney Hall in Bristol. And true to form, this was soooooo much more than a party. It was a veritable feast for the eyes. A styled bridal shoot featuring some of the Uk’s finest stylists and wedding vendors. There were decadent table-settings, flowers, cakes, stationery, and oh-so-pretty details… even a model or two roaming the beautiful grounds of Goldney Hall dressed in gorgeous gowns for us to photograph. Not to mention the delectable treats served throughout the afternoon, and the pink lemonade – complete with stripey paper straws. It was also a brilliant opportunity to network with fellow wedding suppliers, catch up with old friends and put faces to tweets – most of us felt like we already knew each other through chatting on twitter :) We were invited to bring our cameras and snap away merrily at all the wedding pretty.. so I did. It was a little slice of wedding heaven. Please forgive the amount of photos, but there was a lot of pretty to photograph! (however I confess did stop taking pictures to eat, drink and chat later in the day so I didn’t capture absolutely everything! For that, do see the official photos on Love Luxe!)
A truly fabulous time was had by all. A big well done and thank you to Rosie and her team of talented suppliers who mad the day such a success. I hear rumours of a Love Luxe tour… you would be so welcome to come to Manchester!
Onto the photos… first up is an amaxing woodland table setting from Cotswolds wedding planner Jessie Thomson:

The next table was created by my fab friend and wedding planner Michelle from Pocketful of Dreams, with her new and equally fab sidekick Vicki. I think they themed their colourful table around Vicki’s gorgoeus dress, but apparently it was just a coincidence ;) I love the colours, the chairs and the creativity that went into this vibrant tablescape.

What a gorgeous pair!

I’m not sure if I’m allowed to have favourites, but I absolutely adored this next table, brough to you by Kirsten of Little Wedding Helper. Peach and cream and pink and gold and pretty… sigh. The cupcakes on upturned wine glasses with a rose inside? Genius. And what pretty chairs :)

I would love to photograph a wedding with a table-setting so indulgently pretty!

The highlight for me of this next table (by Andri Benson of Always Andri Wedding Design and Jodie Vigor of Boutique Blooms) was certainly the iridescent macarons… which I did get to taste too, and they were as delicious as they looked! Fab colours too.

Belle and Boo created the next table-setting for a children’s party. As a Mummy to a two-year-old myself, but one who likes to retain a sense of style even when it comes to kids’ stuff ;) I loved this table! Inspired for Sophie’s 3rd birhtday party…

There were more beautiful set-ups in the grounds of Goldney Hall, including this lovely one by Kirsten of Little Wedding Helper centred around an old bicycle. What a great way to welcome guests to an outdoor wedding celebration.

I took the opportunity to photograph one of the gorgeous models… this is Rachel in ‘Look 1′:

The same team that created the vintage bicycle scene, and the peachy tablescape, were behind this beautiful cake table and ‘Love’ sign… swoon!

Another of my favourite tables/scenes is this next one, a woodland wedding created by … So vibrant and colourful, with a wonderful rustic DIY feel about it. I love all the ribbons trailing in the wind, and the vibrant hydrangea blooms. If I could have another wedding (to the same person, of course!), it might look something like this. And I would wear a floaty Claire Pettibone gown, with flowers in my hair… (!)

One of the loveliest things about the afternoon was meeting the people I tweet with, and some new ones too, along with catching up with a whole bunch of fab photographers. It has been really interesting to see everyone else’s take on the day, all of us shooting the same stuff but with different perspectives and styles. The food, provided by Fosters http://www.fostersevents.co.uk/, was delicious. I was wearing a pretty pair of lacy vintage gloves at the start of the event, but I soon realised these were highly impractical, one could neither eat canapés or work a camera, so off they came. Because beleieve me, those canapés needed eating… as did the whoopie pies! (is that even spelled right?!)

Lovely photographer Shell de Mar in her fabulous yellow dress, Rosie Parsons, super lady behind Love Luxe and beautiful baby Florrie, with fab photographer Anneli Marinovich. Florrie belongs to super-lovely photography couple Owen & Charis of O&C Photography, and was quite the party-girl :)

So lovely to see Elisabeth from Bridal Musings over from San Francisco, and that’s amazing wedding jewellery designer Hermione Harbutt with her, wearing one of her own stunnng creations. And up there on the right, that’s me :) Thanks to Charis of O&C Photography for the pic!

I think these two little cuties belong to Belle & Boo. They were just too cute with their cupcakes not to grab a picture!
I grabbed another few minutes with gorgeous model Rachel, in her 2nd look.

I was so impressed with Goldney Hall – what a gem of a wedding venue! The Orangery was beautiful, so full of light, it would be a wonderful place to hold a ceremony or reception. The grounds are gorgeous too, with many a location for beautiful and creative wedding photography. They have a wedding fayre coming up, so if you are in the Bristol area, do pop along and have a look!

Did you make it through to the end? Well done! I know it was an epic post (it took me long enough to write!) but it was an epic party! I hope you have enjoyed all the gorgeous wedding styling and inspiration. Feel free to pin anything to pinterest that takes your fancy, and do check out all the talented suppliers involved in the shoot. Any suppliers that would like hi-res images, just drop me an email and I will send them over. I hope I have credited everyone involved, but apologies if not – please tell me and I’ll add you!
In the meantime, I have a fair few weddings to edit, so until next time! x
