It was the day after I got back from my holiday in the south of France, and the weather was looking gloomy, not to mention my spirits. Emma and I spoke on the phone, planning wellies and wet-routes for their engagement shoot. On the drive over however, something happenned in the skies, and by the time I met Emma & Martin for a drink at the pub, we were sat outside in beautiful sunshine. They took me to Hurstwood, a beautiful reservoir walk with forests and hills and cliffs and buttercup fields, we chatted weddings and life and love and the universe, and the sun shone and shone. It was just what needed, and will long be remembered as such a special afternoon. Emma and Martin are just brilliant, so much fun (did you see Emma’s BRIGHT YELLOW WELLIES?!) and so so in love. In fact, I am a little late posting this, as it was actually their wedding last week and one of the loveliest, happiest occasions, just bursting with genuine love and emotion. More of that though when I post the wedding photos. For now, here are Emma & Martin’s sunshiney engagement photos. (For the camera geeks among you, shot entirely on my 50mm 1.2 and 135mm f2 prime lenses. Delish!)
