Helen & Rich | Cheshire Engagement Shoot

A few months ago, back when it didn’t rain every single day, I spent a glorious afternoon at Quarry Bank Mill and Styal village with the lovely Helen & Rich, soaking up the sunshine and walking in fields of gold… it was during my obsession with yellow and we found the most gorgeous field of yellow flowers, which coupled with the delicious light made me jump up and down and squeal rather a lot. This was the shoot when I realised my trusty 70-200 lens wasn’t focussing at all, and my 24-70mm lens was already in camera hospital :( So out came the 50mm 1.2, a beautiful lens but harder work as rather than the lens moving, I have to. But ohhh the results! I am officially in love with this little beauty! Anyway, enough camera geek talk.  We had a really lovely afternoon and it was great to get to know Helen and Rich a bit better. It genuinely felt like an afternoon spent with friends, and the glass of wine in the sunshine afterwards was rather lovely :) Helen and Rich looked gorgeous and were so much fun to photograph, I can’t wait for their wedding at Sandhole Oak Barn in a few week’s time. If they look this good normally, how amazing are they going to look on their wedding day?!
