From the moment I met Laura and saw her lovely house, I reeeally wanted to shoot her wedding. You see Laura is a very talented artist and designer with an amazing eye for style and detail, and I knew her wedding would be filled with prettiness! So I was thrilled when Laura & Ryan booked me to photograph their wedding, especially as it was going to be in the Lake District, one of my favourite places, and very close to my heart as the place where my photography dream became a reality through training with Aspire. Laura & Ryan’s wedding took place at The Merewood Hotel, looking over Lake Windermere; the perfect setting for such a pretty wedding. As I suspected, the wedding was overflowing with gorgeous details, personal touches and beautiful design. (I adore the stationery that Laura created for her wedding – if you are looking for beautiful invitations, orders of service etc. for you wedding, check out her fab design company: Lollypop-Rock Designs). Laura looked stunning in her vintage-inspired gown, customised with exquisite flowal details, and Ryan was every bit the dapper groom. Add to the equation a beautiful ceremony, and whole lot of love and laughter, and it really was the perfect wedding.

A little walk to the lake was in order for some beautiful portraits… although we never did find the elusive ‘jetty’, we did get some gorgeous images of the new Mr. & Mrs.. And the pretty bridesmaids too :)

Ohhh the pretty details!

Favours were miniature bottles of Jack Daniels for the men, and pretty Bath House soaps for the ladies, and everything tied together beautifully with Laura’s gorgeous design.

Time for a few more lake-side portraits in the delicious evening light! (but still no jetty!)

Thank you Laura & Ryan for an amazing day, for so much pretty to photograph, and for making us feel so welcome. Wishing you all the best for your married life together xxx
