The Love my Dress Soirée Part 3: The Party

Back in August on a gorgeously warm and sunny evening, lots of wedding industry types got together for a fabulous and glamorous party courtesy of Love My Dress, one of the UK’s top wedding blogs. The supplier and guest-list read like a who’s who of the wedding industry, and it was wonderful to put so many faces to names and tweets. I was honoured to be one of the official photographers for the evening. The Soirée was a real celebration of the creativity of the UK wedding industry – and a brilliant excuse to wear a fabulous dress ;) And there were more fabulous dresses in that one room than I’ve ever seen in one place my life!

(This is the final installment of 3. If you missed Part 1, Portraits of Annabel and Part 2, Behind The Scenes, go check them out too)

The lovely Helen Russell, fellow official photographer, looking extremely glam and gorgeous!

Widely considered to be the best dress of the evening, beautiful fellow photographer Cat Hepple in her divine Dresses At No. 9 creation.

With a certain Chris Hanley heckling in the background. Good job he’s cooking a 4-course dinner for us on Sunday or there’d be trouble ;)

Alongside all the pretty frocks, there were fabulous shoes-a-plenty. Swoon!

Setting the tone and providing the perfect soundtrack for a sophisticated evening were the jazz trio from Fonix Music.

Stunning models Emma, Eve and Zoe, wearing amazing flapper dresses from LeLuxe Clothing handed out prosecco, canapés and sweet treats throughout the evening.

Glamorous guests enjoying the evening…

Annabel’s beautiful daughters Eska and Leanora looked so pretty in their dresses, and seemed to thoroughly enjoy the party and all its delights!

Vicky Butterfly wowed the crowd with her amazing burleque dancing – and fabulous feathery outfits!

The styled photo shoot area with vintage props proved popular… (As after a few of those delicious champagne cocktails I can’t quite remember everyone I met and photographed at the party, I’m not going to mention everyone by name. I will however, put these on facebook soon so you can tag merrily away!)

The lovely lady in the middle of these next images is Jane from H F Couture, creator of beautiful sparkly things and who provided the exquisite hair-piece I wore. On the left, with the hairbrush, is Linda from No. 9 Bridal, maker of the swoon-worthy dress worn by Cat Hepple. And on the left is Lilybud Cupcakes who makes scrumptious cupcakes and wedding cakes :)

The lovely Emma Billsborough and Sam Clayton, photographer friends of mine, looking so pretty in pink. And that’s me, in my fab 1950s-style Zeleb dress (thank you for the loan Zeleb!) and sparkly vintage-inspired H F Couture hairpiece, with vintage hairdo by The Frenchman ;)

Then we danced the night away to funky and soulful sounds, before making our way back across Millennium Bridge and collapsing into our Malmaison beds.

What an extremely very fabulous party that was!

Big thanks to Annabel and all who were involved (see below) for making it truly a night to remember. Can’t wait for next year!
